Benefits of Joining the Crisman Institute
Any company that joins the Crisman Institute for Petroleum Research will automatically become part of the joint research project that involves Berg-Hughes Center. More information on the joint project between Crisman and the Berg-Hughes Center can be found under the Research tab at the top of the page.
The membership is on a calendar year basis and the cost is $90,000 per year. The uniqueness of joining the Crisman Institute is that in the contract, the Crisman member company gets a life-time, royalty free, irrevocable license to use any of the IP generated by any of the projects. The Crisman-BergHughes shale optimum development project currently typically has 20-30 active projects. All of the IP in all of the projects are included and offered to Crisman member companies. The companies also receive any software developed by our researchers for use as the company desires.
