How Projects are Selected
We solicit input from our member companies on what topics and projects they want to have funded within the Crisman-Berg-Hughes project. We have the faculty prepare proposals and ask the member companies to rank the proposals. As we get more companies to join Crisman, we can sponsor more projects. Typically, the money from each Crisman member company will fund 2 graduate students for 12 months.
Summary of Current Projects
We typically have 20-30 projects that are being funded by the Crisman Institute and the Berg-Hughes Center. Active projects fall in to the following research focus areas:
- Enhanced Oil Recovery
- Field Development
- Geology and Geophysical Characterization
- Nano and Molecular Scale Research
- Hydraulic Fracturing
